Peking University School Committee Deputy Director Jun-Jing Lin Visited NCKU President Lai

Dr. Jun-Jing Lin, the former Vice-President of Peking University and the present Deputy Director of School Committee at Peking University, China, visited President Michael Ming-Chiao Lai of National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) in Taiwan on May 24th, expecting to expand mutual exchange and cooperation.
NCKU President Michael Ming-Chiao Lai and Vice-President Jenny Su for International Affairs have visited Peking University in 2009. When Dr. Jun-Jing Lin, accompanied by Prof. K. T. Li and his wife, visited National Cheng Kung University on May 24th, President Lai gave him a warm welcome and Dr. Su took this opportunity to introduce National Cheng Kung University and its relationship with Peking University and other universities in China.
Vice-President Jenny Su for International Affairs expressed, “The first exchange students from Peking University have arrived at NCKU this spring. Also, in view of NCKU students volunteering in remote areas in mainland, Tsinghua University in China will send 20 students, who will participate in community service activities in Taiwan, this summer. Both parties believe that in addition to academic exchange, service exchange has a greater significance.”
Dr. Jun-Jing Lin, the former Vice-President of Peking University, is the Vice Chairman of Chou Pei-Yuan Foundation in China. He’s also an old friend of Prof. K. T. Li from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at NCKU. The Chou Pei-Yuan Foundation has been devoting itself to the development and promotion of academic fields such as theoretical physics and mechanics. Prof. K. T. Li, the leading man in mechanics, has an excellent friendship with Dr. Jun-Jing Lin.
The Taiwan delegation organized by Chou Pei-Yuan Foundation was led by Vice Chairman Jun-Jing Lin, the former Vice-President of Peking University, China. The delegation visited National Cheng Kung University and National Tainan First Senior High School and observed events such as summer camp and science competition.
