2007-2009 Taiwan-Israel Joint Final Report Workshop, Oct 13 in NCKU
Tainan, TAIWAN, Sep 17, 2009 --- The National Science Council of Taiwan and the Ministry of Science & Technology of Israel will together hold “2007-2009 Taiwan-Israel Joint Final Report Workshop” on October 13th at the 3rd Lecture Hall of International Conference Hall, NCKU. The theme of the workshop will cover research outputs from biomedical engineering, neuroscience, medical engineering, etc. All people interested in this workshop are more than welcomed to register online. This Workshop will be held from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm on October 13th. Prof. Da-Hsuan Feng (馮達旋副校長) as the NCKU Senior Executive Vice President will open the workshop. Presenters of this workshop from Taiwan will include Dr. Wen Chang (張雯博士), Dr. Shui-Tein Chen (陳水田博士), Dr. Cheng-Ting Chien (簡正鼎博士), Dr. Hanna S. Yuan (袁小鋡博士) and Dr. Daryi, Wang(王達益博士), above all from Institute of Molecular Biology, Academia Sinica, Taiwan, as well as Prof. ShulanHsieh (謝淑蘭教授) of Department of Psychology, Institute of Cognitive Science; Institute of Allied Health Sciences and Institute of Behavioral Medicine, NCKU, Prof. Jia-Jin Chen (陳家進教授) of Institute of Biomedical Engineering, NCKU, and Prof. Chua-Chin Wang (王朝欽教授) from Department of Electrical Engineering, NSYSU, Taiwan. There will be also eight Israeli researchers presenting in this workshop, which includes Prof. Gadi Schuster and Prof. Joseph Mizrahi from Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, Israel, Prof. Aharon Gedanken from Department of Chemistry of Ber-Ilan University, Prof. Nachshon Meiran from Department of Psychology of Ben-Gurion University, Prof. Daniel Chamovitz, Prof. Doron Shmilovitz, Prof. Gabriel Kaufmann, and Prof. Tal Pupko from Tel-Aviv University, Israel.
Specifically, titles of oral presentation are resulted from nine collaborative projects, including “Involvement of RNA Polyardenylation and the Exosome”, “the Cellular RNA Degradation Complex in Vaccinia Virus Host Restriction in Human”, “Functional Electrical Therapy of the Physically Handicapped by Hybrid Activation of Muscles”, “Encapsulating a Drug in Microsphere Made of a Modified Albumin to Cross the BBB (Brain Blood Barrier)”, “Elucidating the Role of the COP9 Signalosomein Regulating Cubitis Interuptisin Drosophila”, “Cognitive and Brain Mechanisms in the Interplay between Working Memoryand Inhibition during Task Switching”, “Implantable Micro-stimulation Device with High-efficiency Energy Harvesting”, “Structural and Functional Characterization of the Anticodon Nucleases PrrC & RloC”, and “Realistic Codon Models and Their Application”.
We also provided transportation information of the workshop venue if you are interested 1. There are two kinds transportation for you to attend the workshop venue. One is by train which exits from Tainan Railway Station rear exit and walk along University Road to the first campus you meet is right Guang-Fu Campus. Another is by Taiwan High Speed Rail and takes the shuttle at THSR station Tainan to the NCKU where it stops at Xiao-dong Road by walking to Guang-Fu Campus Area.
