The editorial office of Light: Science & Applications (LSA), the Nature Publishing Group journal, was yesterday unveiled on National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) Department of Materials Science and Engineering as the first Nature Publishing Group journal editorial office that sets up in Taiwan.
Yesterday's ceremony was hosted by NCKU Vice President Tung-Yang Chen and Prof. Yen-Hsun Su, the head of the LSA editorial office.
Prof. Su indicated, LSA's 2015 impact fact is 13.600, ranking 2nd in all 90 optics journals.
It is crucial for the optics-related research in Taiwan that LSA editorial office set up the editorial office in NCKU, he added.
LSA seeks to promote research from all aspects of optics and photonics, including basic, applied and engineering research and applications, according to Prof. Su.
