2016 International Conference on Future Healthcare and Economic Development in Southeast Asia to be held next week at NCKU
Tainan, Taiwan, August 11, 2016
National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Tainan, Taiwan, will host the International Conference on Future Healthcare and Economic Development in Southeast Asia, August 14-19, highlighting importance of the Asian market in terms of future development of healthcare, especially medical device innovation.
NCKU Medical Device Innovation Center (MDIC) Research and Services Headquarter Director Prof. Fong-Chin Su said, the Global Academia-Industry Alliance (GAIA) promoted by MDIC is a uniquely innovative model of medical device industry in the world, especially fits Asian countries.
He noted, “Through international cooperation and communication, we will be able to build up an innovative ecosystem with value creation that conducts academic and research outputs to innovative applications beneficial to today’s ageing society.”
Therefore, MDIC and other GAIA members invite key-opinion leaders, renowned professors, medical doctors, and students in Southeast Asian to attend this 7-day conference, he added.
In Asia, there is an obvious changes in medical and health awareness due to a significant improvement in people’s level of education and an increase in population's income.
The main purposes of this conference are to (1) establish a value-chain platform for international cooperation, (2) assist institutions in building their international network, (3) understand healthcare technology in Southeast Asia, and (4) satisfy future healthcare needs in the coming aging society.
Su said, the event is expected to help the participators grasp the future healthcare trend precisely, know how to build up a healthcare network with the state-of-the-art technology, and be capable of effectively promoting the healthcare in ageing society with lower healthcare cost.
We are looking forward to a win-win outcome and reaching the goal of making substantial economic benefits mutually with all our members and participants, he added.
