NCKU EMBA students represent to 2016 Silk Road Challenge - Public.
National Cheng Kung University Executive Master of Business Administration (NCKU EMBA) representatives of 2016 International Business School Silk Road Challenge received the NCKU flag from Prof. Lin Zheng-Zhang, the Dean of NCKU College of Management on April 11.
This June, more than 20 students from NCKU EMBA will visit China, walking along Hexi Corridor on foot within 3 days. The Silk Road is at an altitude of 2500m and the total length is 7,500 km.
Zheng Ming, the President of NCKU EMBA Alumni Association said, 'Students are now undertaking an intensive training. I sincerely wish them success.'
Students have begun a series of training upon receiving the approval of participation.
A two-hour muscle endurance training is required every Saturday. They also have to complete a 12 to 35 km walk training for 4 times. There are 2 more to go before the challenge.
Xin-Yu Chen, one of the participant, mentioned, 'We have to carry with our heavy luggage while walking, sleep in a tent, and be unable to take a bath, experiencing a totally different lifestyle from the one in the city.'
Another student Ying-Zhou Tu said, 'It requires mutual support and encouragement to accomplish the challenge. We have already developed the cooperating strategy and look forward to the challenge.'
The 2nd 2016 International Business School Silk Road Challenge lasts from June 9th to 12th. A total of 668 students from 50 business schools including those in America, England, Singapore, and Taiwan, are invited to the challenge.
Participant will experience the breathtaking view of desert, mountains, grasslands, and canyons; meanwhile, dealing with the harsh situation .
