Love of Three Oranges to take the stage at NCKU January 8
Tainan, Taiwan, January 7, 2015
An English play will be taking the stage tomorrow night at Phoenix Theatre of National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Tainan, Taiwan.
The students from the Department of Foreign Languages and Literature will perform their play The Love Three Oranges.
“The Love of Three Oranges is not a typical love story,” said Alexis Wu, the producer of the play.
“Yet if you like magic and fairies in fairy tales, or you are a fan of Disney’s romantic love, believe me, this is the show for you,” she added.
Professor Carolyn Scott who directs the play said, “This play is different because the story exists but there is no line, so students have to create all the lines and the actions for themselves.”
Summary
In a kingdom that is far far far away (maybe not so far), the King is worried about his sick son, Prince Marcel. He called in doctors, but there was nothing they could do. Without any other means, the King had to bet his last hope on Truffaldino ,the most famous clown in the kingdom. Meanwhile, evil plots were brewing…
The Prince, the clown, the witch and the oranges are going to present you a bizarre story about courage and love (and most of all, laughter).
