The SAS, established in 1953, is the main scientific and research institution in Slovakia, according to Prof. Sajgalik.
He said, “the SAS is not a university but we have PhD students. That’s our target. We would like to recruit more PhD students because we got a lot of money from the European Union and we have really good equipments.”
We are now looking for good projects and good students, he said.
President Su told Prof. Sajgalik at the meeting, “If there’s anything that you can initiate based on your mutual interests at least we can start it to have some concrete activities with your institute which we love to go visit some time.”
She noted, in recent years, Europe in general especially Czech has been one of the primary destination for our students.
For this particular time point, we have maybe more than close to two dozen students spreading around different part of Czech, she added.
It is very viable option for our academicians and faculties to consider design, or some really complimentary parts together to facilitate smoothly how students can go, according to President Su.
Prof. Sajgalik said, “We can make some small workshop because we have a castle where we usually have an introductory workshop to settle the topics when the program starts.”
