NCKU ICID Open House to kick off June 26 - Noodls

The Institute of Creative Industry Design (ICID) at National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Tainan, Taiwan, will host its open house to showcase the students’ final presentation and exhibition on June 26.

A total of six sections will be included in the one-day event, starting at 9:00a.m.

The six sections are Industry Research-Planning and Methods, Creative Industries Investigation, Consumer Behavior, Digital Design in Creative Industries, Creative Industries Experience, and Contemporary Curation: Theory and Practice.

In the section of Industry Research-Planning and Methods, Prof. Hsiao-Ling Chung will have her five students to present their final research projects which are the outcome of fundamental thinking and planning disciplines in industry research.

Prof. Hui-Wen Lin and Prof. Chia-Han Yang lead the section of Creative Industries Investigation where a total of four groups of students will deliver a complete investigation report for creative industries as the final outcome.

The students will report their investigations of dubbing industry, tourism factory industry, broadcasting industry, and theme park industry.

Prof. Shyh-Nan Liou will have the 23 students who take Consumer Behavior class to explore the strategic implications of customer behavior for marketers and the user experiences for designer in the context of creative industries.

The topics include food safety, luxury product, color effect, hand-painted movie painting, and trendy brands.

In the section of Digital Design in Creative Industries, poster exhibition and live demo will be organized.

Prof. Hui-Wen Lin will have students present their learning outcome of Creative Industries Experience. A total of six events are organized, including Cheng Kung Picnic, NCKU Multi-Race, The Dubbers, Tainan Merry Go Round, Blind Experience Workshop, and SinMei Treasure Hunting.

In the section of Contemporary Curation: Theory and Practice, Prof. Ming Turner will give a talk on Abstractions: Concept and Aesthetic Form in Contemporary Art and Architecture.
