NCKU to hold student forum May 20 - CNA

National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Tainan, Taiwan, hosted a grand opening ceremony, May 13, to announce the start of the 2015 NCKU Student Forum with crowds of students and teachers gathering to celebrate its eleven-year efforts of this one of the most extraordinary activities in the university.
A press conference took place on May 13 at the front lawn of NCKU Student Activity Center in Kuang-Fu Campus, NCKU, to reveal the agenda of this year’s forum.
NCKU Executive Vice President Cheng-Hung Huang on behalf of President Huey-Jen Jenny Su hosted the event and welcomed all the attendees.
Huang said, NCKU student forum is proudly coming to its eleventh year to showcase students’ efforts of the past and aspiration of the future.
“Lifelong learning is imperative,” according to Huang, “and the rewards are likely to be great.”
The 2015 NCKU Student Forum is scheduled from May 20 to June 2 with four forums on contemporary issues to fuel creativity and ignite minds, according to the university.
The NCKU Student Forum with its great tradition and contribution is coming to the eleventh year and this year’s student forum is themed as “Growing up (成大人)” to celebrate the joy of growth.
The four forums categorized into four topics –bias, perception, gender, conversation will take place on May 20, 25, 28, and June 2 respectively.
The Student Forum is a student-led event offering students and general public an opportunity to be involved with the discussion of the current issues.
Different from more traditional forums, NCKU Student Forum creates a dynamic and friendly environment where students, established academicians and professionals can exchange knowledge, skills and experiences.
