NCKU delegation attends 2015 WorldMUN
Tainan, Taiwan, April 2, 2015
Students Delegation of National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), southern Taiwan, attended 2015 World Model United Nations (WorldMUN) in Seoul, southern Korea, on March 16 to March 20.
“There were many distinguished groups, especially those from western. Not because English is their native language but because they are well-prepared,” said the deputy chief of the delegation.
“People were very polite on the conference while sharing different point of view to a problem. It is quite different from Taiwan’s situation which people might use harmful words in order to win the competition,” said the chief of the delegation.
This is the first time for NCKU students to attend WorldMUN.
The delegation is organized with 20 people who were recruited from the competition held in June, 2014.Experts were invited to help the students prepare the presentation.
WorldMUN is an educational simulation of United Nations(UN). The participants are placed in committees and assigned countries to conduct research of their assignments in advance, along with topics that their committees will discuss. Then they will debate with their fellows in committee. The best-performing delegates in each committee will be recognizes with awards.
