“Boundless and Borderless implies that arbitrary boundaries imposed by man are powerless against the forces of nature…,” according to Tanya Crothers, an Australian printmaker, in her print “Time and Tide,” which is currently showcased at the National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) Art Center, Tainan, Taiwan.

The exhibition named Boundless and Borderless: A Print Portfolio Exchange Between Open Studio, Canada & Sydney Printmakers, Australia is open to the public through April 8, according to the Art Center.

The profolio is made up of 44 prints, 22 each from Canada and Australia.

Each artist in this 'Boundless and Borderless' portfolio has viewed the theme from their own perspective conjuring up personal experiences and interpreting their ideas with a variety of printmaking techniques.

Canada and Australia have similar histories of settlement and colonization. The landscape looms large in both imaginations, as does the spirit of the explorer and adventurer.
