NCKU, HTC, III, sign agreement to promote MOOCs - telecompaper
National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) has entered a cooperation agreement with HTC and the Institute of Information Industry (III) to develop Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs). The agreement was signed by NCKU President Hwung-Hweng Hwung, together with representatives from both the Digital Education Institute of III and HTC on 13 November to utilise online learning courses to bridge the digital divide between the general public and industries.
MOOCs will provide interactive forums that help build a community for students, professors and teaching assistants. The MOOCs will leverage NCKU's knowledge in science, engineering and biomedical research, as well as creative development regarding social sciences and humanities as its foundation, covering intelligence from undergraduate-level to master's degree.
