Tainan, Taiwan, October 21, 2014

National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) students collaborate with Dutch Design studio Hektic. This weekend they have set up a workshop to play with cute Hektik animals at 321Artist Village. Here you can paint your own t-shirts and make a funny mask with Hektik animals, for kids and the rest of the family, actually it is for everybody! Sign up now via this Link.

This workshop is an initiative of the Dutch Design Post (DDP) which is a collaboration of NCKU, Tainan Bureau of Cultural Affairs and NTIO. Together they invite every month different Dutch Designers to collaborate in Tainan with NCKU.

Gaudi Hoedaya and Ursula Wurzinger from Hektik.cc are the guests Designers this month. Hektik is a Dutch clothing brand for children that operates international and is newly available in Taiwan.

The two designers use geometric patterns to create Hektik animals. Every animal has his or her own personality and habits, this is written in a lovely story.

The concept is both simple and sincere, responding the innocence of children. The family of Hektik animals is growing as during this weekend a new special Taiwanese animal will be introduced. Children can paint this or other animals on their t-shirt. Parents can upload the pictures of the designs on Facebook and win a cute and adorable prize.

Bart van Bueren works at the College of Planning and Design at NCKU, here he’s directing the DDP. Van Bueren says, “Gaudi Hoedaya from Hektic.cc already shared his secrets in a presentation at NCKU on how these animals become so adorable. Coming up next weekend is a workshop co-created by Tainan Cultural Affairs Bureau and NCKU. NCKU offers a course through DDP aiming at a collaboration of students and Dutch Designers. This course is led by Prof. Yi Sheng Goh and Bart van Bueren. Every month one or more Dutch Designers will visit and students will help them on design, prototyping, and finding manufactures and market opportunities in Taiwan. Next month's guest will be Allan Vos, a rising fashion designer! Visit Dutch Design Post on Facebook on all upcoming events.”
