NCKU and UCAS launch global immersion course for business management - Noodls
Tainan, Taiwan, July 28, 2014
Global Immersion Course (GIC) co-organized by the College of Management at National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), southern Taiwan, and the School of Management, University of Chinese Academy of Science (UCAS), China was launched on July 17.
A total of 18 students and teaching staff from UCAS visited NCKU for a four-day intensive course including problem solving, and business trends and international marketing.
At the opening ceremony, Dr. Huey-Jen Jenny Su, NCKU Executive Vice President, on behalf of NCKU President Dr. Hwung-Hweng Hwung welcomed the guests from UCAS.
She regarded GIC highly and hoping the two sides will learn from each other and get more valuable experience.
According to Dr. Su, NCKU College of Management plays a vital role in the university’s interdisciplinary curriculum when the concepts of management integrates in the academic fields including engineering, civil design, biomedicine and pharmacy.
GIC is mainly designed to investigate and analyze the problems proposed by enterprises and offer them suggestions and execution plans through the collaborative efforts from international institutes.
In addition to business visit, NCKU professors and business representatives gave talks and led group discussion. Group business competition was arranged on the last day of the intensive course.
